Scientists studying perception are concerned with how information processing systems, be they biological or artificial, acquire and process sensory data to learn about the world around them. At Penn, this broad topic is studied using a wide variety of experimental and theoretical approaches. Faculty and students in the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Medical School, and the School of Arts and Sciences all contribute to Penn's research efforts in this area. This site is a guide to perception research at Penn. Here you can find out about research in individual labs, opportunities for undergraduate and graduate study, institutes and departments that contribute to the study of perception at Penn, and relevant upcoming talks. |
