Research Interests
The ability to perceive, plan, and act requires a coordinated effort of working memory and attention. The research in our laboratory focuses on investigating the neural bases of both of these cognitive functions as well as their interrelationship. We use a variety of cognitive neuroscience techniques such as functional MRI, event-related potentials, and behavioral signal detection methods. The combined use of these techniques allows for the localization of function within neuroanatomic space as well as the ability understand how component attentional and working memory operations unfold in time with millisecond temporal resolution.
